Founded in Illinois in 1940, Dairy Queen is one of the oldest fast-food chains in America. Today, the brand boasts over 6,000 locations across the U.S., Canada and the globe. In 1988, the company acquired the Orange Julius brand, folding its famous frosty beverages into the menu and operating numerous hybrid franchises around the world.
While the brand is perhaps most famous for its frozen desserts, including the iconic Blizzard soft-serve treat, Dairy Queen offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Patrons can enjoy combo meals featuring burgers, sandwiches and chicken tender baskets. Sides, such as fries, cheese curds and onion rings help round out the meal.
